A Time Auction is quite simply an auction for cool items, except instead of using money to bid, you use volunteering hours.

For example, you might bid 20 hours working for the local food bank in order to get an free Spa Package. If you win the bid, you then go complete your hours, and then we will give you the item. All the hours you did will be verified by the charity you worked with online on SolaCaritas.com.

This year's Vancouver Time Auction was held on July 9th, 2009 at the Student Union Building (SUB) on UBC's campus. We raised 6,350 volunteer hours for the local community! Thank you to all the participants that came out. We'll keep you posted on our next Time Auction event!
